PreK – 5th Grade

Pathfinder Kids is a fun, engaging time for kids to connect with God and each other on Sunday mornings. Designed to meet kids where they are, each week is filled with lively worship, exciting games, crafts, service projects, and Bible stories that hold kids’ attention and grow their faith. Our goal is to give all kids a solid foundation of faith and knowledge of God, teach them about the life of Jesus and show them that church is a safe, fun, and important place to be.

At Resurrection, it’s important that our kids do the Faith Triangle just like their parents. This means we get kids connected UP with God through a large group kid’s worship time, connected IN with each other during age specific small groups, and connected OUT by doing service projects that show love to those in need throughout the year. In all points of the Faith Triangle, we mix in tons of fun!
Schedule
Pathfinders Sunday School is offered year-round during both 9am and 10:30am worship.
2021/2022 breakouts are:
  • PreK & Kindergarten
  • 1st-3rd Grade
  • 4th-5th Grade
  • ONLINE via Zoom (mixed ages/minimum of five families registered/only at 9am)
What to Expect
Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of Pathfinders to check-in at the station in the Gathering Place. We use a computerized check-in system that issues a name tag and security number for each child attending Pathfinders.

Once checked-in, kids can come down to the Kid Fun Zones and start having fun playing air hockey, shooting hoops, doing a craft, or just hanging out with friends. The rest of the hour is spent with other kids in age specific small groups where they hear a Bible story and do activities together. Parents pick kids up from their small group classrooms when worship is done.
Safety
Keeping your kids safe is our top priority. Know that all Pathfinders Kids’ Small Group Leaders and other volunteers have gone through a background check, been trained in child safety procedures, and have a deep love and devotion to both God and kids. We ask that all parents/guardians stay onsite at Resurrection while their child attends Pathfinders on Sunday mornings. Lastly, we request that families also adhere to our Wellness Policy and stay home when exposed to someone sick or feeling any symptoms of sickness themselves.

Family Ministry

Pathfinder Kids knows that the primary place faith is built for children is with their family in the home. Our goal is to partner with families so that they are equipped to continue the conversations started in Pathfinder Kids at home during the week. Just think of the impact it will have on kids if they are hearing the same message reinforced at home that they hear at church on Sunday.

With that in mind, we ask families who register for Pathfinder Kids to make a commitment to participating in their child’s spiritual growth by reading the Bible at home, praying with their children, and helping them complete take home activities they receive.

We encourage parents/guardians to volunteer each trimester (fall/winter/spring) in our children’s program or in another area at Resurrection.
