Plan Your Visit

New faces are always welcome at Resurrection! We know that walking into a church for the first time can be very intimidating. We want to make your first visit with us successful and comfortable.

What to Expect

1. A warm welcome
2. Name tags – towards your left when you walk in you will notice a couple tables filled with binders. We like to call each other by name at Resurrection. You can find blank name tags for your first few times with us at the brown stand towards the front of the tables. Once you’re ready for your sheet of name tags, please fill out a request form located near the blank tags.
3. Nursery care – we provide free nursery care to parents with little ones age 0-4. Our nursery is located straight ahead from our main entrance down the hallway. Learn more about our nursery.
4. Freedom to worship – at Resurrection, you can worship with your hands in the air or your hands to the side. You can nod your head and holler Amen – whatever works for you!
5. An open Communion table – anyone and everyone is welcome to the Lord’s Table.

FAQ

What is the difference between traditional and contemporary worship?
Our traditional worship (7:30 am during the school year) contains hymns, Kyrie, the Apostle’s Creed, and Communion. It is the original style of worship and offers a more structured service. Our contemporary worship (9:00 am & 10:30 am year round) includes a worship band equipped with guitars and drums. Though our worship teams may throw in a twist on an old hymn, the music is primarily Contemporary Christian from the last 15 years. Our contemporary worship offers Communion every third Sunday. In the summer, our 9:00 am worship has Communion each Sunday.

Are my kids welcome to attend worship?
They sure are! However, we offer a few different experiences to choose from. We have kid busy bags available as you enter our Worship Center. We also have a less formal experience located in our Gathering Place. Our Gathering Place offers a live stream of the worship from the Worship Center and a Kids Corner for kids to relax and play while you worship.

Do I have to be a member to…?
All our guests, regular attendees, and active members can participate in anything Resurrection has to offer. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Journey Groups
  • Kid & Teen Programming
  • Retreats/Trips
  • Baptisms, Weddings, & Funerals
  • Other Events

I’d like to attend classes/retreats, but I am low on income. Is there a way for me to still attend?
At Resurrection, we want to equip you with all that you need to help you grow spiritually. For those low on money, we offer a Scholarship Plan that will either cover or reduce the cost of classes/retreats. Please  contact the office if interested.

What should I wear?
We want our people to be comfortable as they worship and sit in conversation among others. If this means wearing jeans and a sweatshirt or wearing a suit and tie, we say go for it!
