As a worshipper with Resurrection Lutheran Church, whether only once or many times, we hope you have been enriched and renewed.
You are welcome to worship and participate in the activities of the church any time, regardless of whether you choose to join as a 'member'. But if you want to learn more about becoming a member of the Resurrection family, we invite you to sign up for the next New Member Information Class by calling 763.271.4348 or e-mailing Sandy at swold@resurrection-mn.com. We will contact you when the next class is scheduled.
This class will inform you of the character, mission and ministries of Resurrection and help prepare you to make a decision regarding membership. It also gives you opportunity to get to know a smaller group of people entering the church and to share in some fun, learning, and fellowship. A meal will be provided and childcare is also available.
As a member, each January, you will be invited to the Annual Meeting where you will hear the successes of the ministry areas, review and approve the operating budget and approve new council members. Also as a new member, you are eligible to hold office.
To Join:
All family members over the age of 15 (including both spouses, if applicable) need to attend the class to become members. If a family member over the age of 15 cannot attend the class, he or she will not be considered a member of Resurrection until they are able to attend the class. Children who have been confirmed through Resurrection are already members of the church. Children currently attending confirmation classes do not need to attend and will become members when confirmed.
If you decide to join, we will ask for the names of all family members as well as the dates and churches where they were baptized, confirmed and married, as appropriate. Please bring this information with you to the New Member Class so you'll be prepared to complete the necessary membership paperwork. You will then be officially welcomed as a member of Resurrection on Receiving Sunday.
