Who We Are
We are an ELCA Congregation guided by the Holy Scriptures and the power of the Spirit, renewed and empowered by the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion. We believe Jesus Christ has come as the Word made flesh, full of grace and truth. We believe we need both His grace and His truth. We believe that Jesus Christ is "the Way, the Truth, and the Life", that He is the Way to the Father. We believe that Jesus Christ is "the resurrection and the life", that He has saved us from sin and death and secured for us the promise of eternal life. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Word, the expression of the Creator through whom all things were made. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living Creator God, and the giver of the Holy Spirit who gives us faith to believe and power to live a baptized life.
We are called to grow an intergenerational body of Christ through the Great Commandment: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first commandment. The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself."(Mt. 22:37-39) and the Great Commission: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age." (Mt. 28:19-20)
